Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is currently seeking a full time Team Leader for its St. Lucy’s Outreach program located in Jersey City, NJ.

St. Lucy's Homeless Shelter is an 80 bed emergency shelter in Jersey City that ensures safety and builds stability in the lives of homeless men and women.

Job Duties:

  • The Team Leader coordinates and integrates service delivery for the Outreach Team.
  • The Team Leader coordinates the program within the organization.
  • He or she maintains accountability for the professional standards within the program and implements policies and procedures for program.
  • The Team Leader delivers services within the scope of their service delivery area.
  • The Team Lead and Client aide oversees all outreach intervention with the homeless while actively engaging potential consumers in communication with the goal of obtaining their confidence to assist them with obtaining shelter.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

AND one of the following:

  • Master’s degree in a social work discipline and two years of experience with outreach and referral services to homeless individuals, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related human services field and three years of experience working with homeless individuals or providing social services to comparable clients
