Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Case Worker for our Supportive Assistance for Individuals and Families (SAIF) program located in Newark, New Jersey.  The SAIF program’s aim is to reduce dependency on welfare by promoting self-sufficiency for individuals who have received welfare benefits for more than 48 months.

Job Duties:

  • The Case Worker monitors their caseload; completes monthly state reports; completes monthly caseload lists; maintains case records; and completes assessments to identify barriers as well provide career counseling
  • The Case worker will also complete intakes on weekly basis and build networks with employers for jobs and workshops for clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably Social Work, Sociology or Psychology field)
  • 1 to 2 years experience in social services field
  • Valid driver's license.
